Biotech trip to the Netherlands

A networking trip for professionals in the medical biotechnology fields
In November 2011 (tentative date), the Baltimore-Rotterdam Sister City Committee is considering hosting a weeklong visit to biotech centers and research universities in Rotterdam, Leiden, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. This trip is a unique opportunity to network with other professionals, and learn about biotech developments in the Netherlands and make other contacts in the European Union. The trip will also strengthen ties between academic institutions in the Netherlands and Baltimore.
Preliminary Itinerary (subject to change)
Day 1 - Monday - Travel
Fly to the Netherlands (overnight)
Day 2 - Tuesday - Rotterdam
Arrival and tour of city center
Day 3 - Wednesday - Leiden
Leiden Bio Science Park
One of the world’s largest biotech parks, with a focus on the biomedical life sciences. Home to 60 life science companies.
